Ukraine to go a way largely concurrent with the Gediminids' Way – Druzenko

Kyiv, Ukraine, June 7, 2014 – Commenting on the inaugural address by the new Ukrainian President, The Gediminids' Way CEO Gennadiy Druzenko said, he was especially delighted to hear that the way lined out by the President for Ukraine to go is "largely concurrent with The Gediminids' Way," that is, back to Europe.

The inauguration of President Petro Poroshenko was held at the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine. The President delivered a speech, at the end of which he said, "We, the people that was torn off its great motherland Europe, are going back to it. Once and for all."

"Petro Oleksiyovych [Poroshenko] has received a fantastic chance and a unique mandate to become a real founding father of today's Ukrainian nation, which was conceived on the Maidan," Mr. Druzenko added.

On Dec. 1, 2013, Petro Poroshenko (right) and Gennadiy Druzenko (middle) tried to stop a clash between protesters and police near the Presidential Administration on Bankova Street in Kyiv. The violence burst out as a reaction to the brutal beating of students by riot police the day before.
